Did you since AOR receive any requests from CIC such as RPRF or any additional documents?
I paid the RPRF upfront and no additional documents requested.

I just found out that my file has been transferred to Cairo office too.
Would love to know the normal processing time as well, hopefully it would take
less than 14-15 months like some other applicants.

Seriously it can take more than 6 months? I am planning to land in July.
I submitted my PR application and received AOR on July 4th and my background check is still not started. Do not count too much on this 6 months. Currently most outland applicants have to wait more than 6 months.

Hi guys, I have a question that disturbs me a lot. I have Egyptian entry/exit stamps on my passport as well as some Arabian stamps in some other documents like PCC. do i need to translate all of these documents just because of the stamp.
I am really curious guys what documents did you translate? and if any of you applied from Qatar, where did you send your document to be translated?

I didn't translate any arrival/departure stamps in Arabic from Egypt, Qatar, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Morocco though.

I just did the translation for PCC at the translation office that's all. No one asks for anything so far.

Dears,

My current address is in Cairo so is my national ID. However, I was raised in Alexandria and my passport actually states my old address back in Alexandria. Am I required to get two PCCs one from Cairo using my national ID and another from Alexandria using my Passport or just one PCC is enough? Thank you all

You mean to say no need for certified translator? any translation office would do?

Do we need to get them attested, from foreig affairs ?

On the certificate, it says that it is valid for 3 months.
Even if i am out of egypt after issuing the pcc in a few days??for example if i go to egypt for a vaccation then issue pcc and few days later i leave will it be valid when i apply??

The following is a quote from the IRCC website
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp

If you need a police certificate from a country or territory and:
- are currently living there, or received the police certificate before leaving, the police certificate must be issued within six months before you apply.
- have lived there in the past, the police certificate must be issued after you last lived in that country or territory.
So if the certificate was issued more than 6 months ago, you sure need a new one because you left Egypt "after" the certificate was issued. Do not assume that they will not care about these few days spent in Egypt after the certificate was issued. They do care and some people were rejected because of that.

If the certificate was issued recently, then I am not sure if they will go by the 6 months rule in the quote above. Or they will go by the 3 months written on the certificate. But I think it is safer to get a new certificate (apply from outside Egypt) if the one you have was issued more than 3 months ago.
