Let me know if you needed any help in the 'documents' phase, it's HELL, every time I think I'm done I find a mistake, and people (specially forums) will only confuse you more. I guess that's the time when an attorney is important to have
 
Guys this morning with the announcement of the new foreign currencies rates I took a look on my bank's website (CIB) and the USD sale price was 13, a few hours ago it changed to 14.25 and I thought I must have seen it wrong in the morning, right now it changed to 15.75 ..

I'm almost done collecting my documents. Took the medical and waiting the results (should've been today so probably Sat) and also my bank statement isn't complete so I'll visit the bank again Sunday isA.. then I 'should' be done

Thanks. I am going through all what is needed now to see what is missing, how valid are bank statements? I had issued one last week for the additional documents, do you think I can still use it? Also with the Canadian going up to 10.... I think I may be short like 10000 I need to deposit this amount in the bank soon.


I also got a message fro cib, that they will revisit the credit card limits. So hopefully that would be good for us...lots to think of...

Congrats, I would advise you to read the thread concerning reasons of rejection, as i previously got rejected for not submitting the arabic documents. They have a summary paper about reasons of rejection. Make sure you submit every single paper they need and tick every requirement in the check list before submission. all the best inshallah :)

They need to cover the required funds
cover last 6 months
Have your name on them (english)
be on bank letterhead
have bank contact details (numbers, site, email)

As for validity better be recent, it costs nothing so just make a new one
 
Also, classic mistake.. make sure there wasn't any sudden flow of cash in it in the last 6 months, if there is it might get refused unless you mention where the money came from (car sale, apartment sale, gift deed from the father...etc)

what if there was withdrawal to exchange EGP to USD? do we need to clarify this too?
