Hi Friends,

I have been referring to this forum from a long time and it really helped me with many valuable inputs.
It is highly disappointing to know that the CIC stike has still not been suspended as it would for sure effect our visa processing. Anyone has any news on the strike? I am an H1B holder in USA and applied my online TRV on May31st and was looking forward to travel in June end for an important family occasion which now does not seem possible :( Do you suggest i drop an email to the consulate? If yes then could anyone please let me know the appropriate email id for the same? Please do reply.

Many Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no other way , ,, just finger crossed to see the strike to finish soon .
Goood luck

I dont want to sound pessimistic, but emails wont work either. I've been waiting for my TRV and WorkPermit for two months.. i've called, sent emails, enquiries... they just keep telling me to "Be patient".. i also wanted to be there before june 20th.. which now seems impossible. Our visas are not getting to us anytime soon apparently. :(

Thank you for the replies. I think you guys are right...i need to be patient and just wait:(

Not to bum you out, but my boyfriend is an H1B visa holder in the United States and he applied April 11 and has heard nothing yet. We are supposed to be in Montreal in 11 days.

yeah.. this other girl i know applied on April 12th and I applied on April 16th. It's been 10 weeks already.
