EEBC - Skilled Worker Category with 1 year NOC B JOB

Hello,

I was told that after finishing 1 year in NOC B job in BC I can be eligible to apply BC PNP under EEBC - Skilled Worker Category.

I am preparing to apply since I have been working almost a year in NOC B job. But when I checked the eligibility requirement I saw

• have at least two (2) years of directly related work experience

I have been working in this title for almost a year but before back in my home country I was in the same industry which is Tourism. And my responsibilities are similar but not same. Also my previous experience was NOC C. Can I show it as related work experience? (to me it is related I am pretty much doing the similar things but previous title was NOC C) Do you thing after completing my 1 year in current NOC B, can I be eligible for EEBC-Skilled Work Category?

No you need 2 years directly related work experience. It can be in Nov 0, A and B . Noc C is low skilled so can claim points for that Noc .

Thank you for your reply. Another thing is I was told that if you are working NOC 0 job you can apply right away but if it is NOC B job you need to work 1 year and apply. To make it clearer. I have open work permit and My NOC is 1241 in a hotel and I am working for almost a year here and I don't have 2 years related work experience in this title (I was in tourism for years though) So I am just wondering in in which stream I am eligible. Since PNP requires 2 years of related work experience I am confused in that part.

You need continuously 2 years directly related working experience in Noc A B and 0 . You can’t apply right away. Skilled workers stream required 2 years experience. You may be eligible under different categories.
