Hello,

I registered for EEBC - International graduate stream. IRCC website says if you are applying through express entry , you can do UPFRONT medical exam , but BC PNP Guide says wait until IRCC issue a letter.

it is really confusing. Could you please help me with this ?

Thank you.

Thanks .
Because we are living far away from doctor office 9 hours drive and hard to travel and get days off for both my wife and I , and also CIC website says you can do it UPFRONT
Is there any specific reason that you are saying after ITA? what will be happen after ITA and not before that ?
Clinic said you don't need any documents

Medicals have a strict 1 year validity. If it's a 9-hour drive to the doctor's office, you probably don't want to do it more than once. It's still Upfront, but it will give you one or two months' longer validity to complete the PR process.

Sorry I don't quite understand your last paragraph. You mean it is better to wait for ITA to take process shorter ?
Some friends told me , it takes time (near 2 months) to medical update in your profile , so it is better to do it upfront and do not waste the time.

I'm saying that if you want to make only one trip to the panel physician it's best to wait and not waste the year's validity on a period when you don't even have an ITA. While the medical is taking 2 months, they are also doing security and criminality checks at the same time so that doesn't make the process longer. It all happens at the same time.
