I am still waiting for almost 4 months with no updates at all.
The more people with no updates at all the more we can be assured we're not individual cases which have been completely lost.

I know someone who had exactly the same case as me... we both waited with absolutely no update then about two weeks ago she suddenly got her very first update.

Fast forward to yesterday and she has her PPR.

Obviously I'm ridiculously jealous but that aside, the takeaway is that while we've seen no update that doesn't mean we're looking at a 2+ month wait. Our cases will probably go from zero to PPR in the space of 2 weeks two, and it can happen any given week.

Hold fast. :)

I have applied in first possible week and still nothing is happening for me and everybodyelse who applied after me is getting PPR thats really frustrating but all well i have applied for my file notes which i am suppose to receive in next few days, lets see what they have written there for not processing my application.

Hey guys,

This thread is awesome.

Questions - Can you help me understand this chain better?

If medicals and PCC are submitted on X day, how much time it generally takes to complete the entire process of getting a PR. I see a lot of variations here. I understand that it might be difficult to quote one single fig, but can someone help me with the range?

Thanks in advance.

Just spoke with CIC again as I haven't had an email for PPR, they advised that a letter has been posted to me, could this be landing papers without having to send in our passports?

Any chance you'll share the notes (without any personal info, of course)?

Ah, I see. IIRC, there must be a field called "Due date" or something like that, maybe you could post this field alone? That's what I was curious about the most, and if I understand correctly, there's no personal info in it, right?

Hi folks,
Wonder if you could shed some light on the 'ECAS' thing?

When I sign in to 'MyCIC and go to view my application I get a 7 line status which looks like:

Application/profile status-Open
Review of eligibility-Review in progress
Review of Medical results-Passed
Review of submitted documents-Further documents needed(sent this morning)
Scheduling an interview-Not needed at this time
A background check is needed-In progress
A final decision has been reached-Not started

I have seen countless posts where people talk about '3 lines to 2' in regards to their 'ECAS' status. Am I missing something more up to date here?

ECAS is another system.
You can see more info about your application here:
