Agreed Colorblind it's incredibly frustrating to see so many April applicants almost at PPR while we're still languishing with 2 line ECAS readouts.

May be that's the reason they halted draws..

Yeah my suspicion is that they've halted draws while they process the backlog.

They've probably realised that if they don't sort out the mess they made of the February applications they're going to see a lot of applicants not hit the stated 6 months which reflects badly on the system.

I don't think they see any problems with the Feb applicants. Even if they did, and are trying to settle it, why are April ones getting it...

Anyway... They said they will make 15-20 draws, made 9 in the first 4 months, so holding the draws is their right. They can easily restart it in Nov, and still make the numbers of draws they've said they will.

And the 6 months for the Feb applicants...still at least 2 months to reach it.

Dunno what to think.
Since they're not issuing any new ItAs, they have 'only' these few thousands of ppl. Why r most of us Feb applications stuck? What is there to check so much?

What is the difference? And especially CEC applicants, isn't it easier to check all the docs within Canada?

I'm super jelaous and pissed.

I though it would all get fast, when they stared with the first Pprs.

Agree to this....it could be one or two application where they want to dig in ..but here it looks like the entire lot of feb (canceled FSW and invited CEC) is a loose thread...God only knows when we get to hear some good news...

Yesterday i called cic and the agent told me that there is a temporary file in the account which needs to be merged but has not been done but she said thats ok, but i guess that is not ok that could be the reason that our applications are late. On the other hand after first two or three draws i guess the CIC managed to create the same application account to upload the documents too. so the candidates after february have the same profile and permanent residency file unlike us since we have seperate profile and PR applications in MY CIC account which really needed to be merged.

Hi, new to this thread, I was pulled out of the pool on Feb 11th with 885 points, my application was submitted to CIC on April 2nd and I received my AOR on April 10th, my status has not changed as of Friday 15th May 2015 and my buddy is in the same boat and time lines, our work visas expire in July 2015 so we are stuffed if CIC don't get a move on

So buddies starting one more week I have tried wrapping my mind round few things, We all CEC we all February applicants, except Ozzy sorry bud, So here is a thought I have been toying with.

When they closed the cap in 2014 October on 8000 they returned all the applications saying cap is reached. If you read the news they say 10-15% will be EE for this year, so my conspiracy theory is maybe just maybe they work June – May as a year. They have told many of us the whole 14 week story that will put us in June. If they start in June our applications “Under the 6 months theory” will be done in August thus putting us in new year with new numbers???????? We have seen applications in 17-30 days so starting CEC June July will make the whole 6 months still plausible, keeping the numbers real and the processing on target.

Technically they can do this as CEC is one program BOWP applies with just a AOR. Once submitted and received AOR you near guaranteed a BOWP and getting a extension provided you meet the criteria of course , and by waiting you on implied status so you have 60 odd days to anyhow work wile waiting for your BOWP. If my math is correct (and I’m no mathematician) the most ITA is under FS with a very low margin on CEC. So looking at this theoretically there should be no rush on a CEC specific draw like we had 20th Feb as you can legally stay work and continue your life on implied status or BOWP wile CIC clear the backlog and still play within the processing times.

What’s your thoughts ??

That's just fked up. They waited what, 3 months to tell you that? Hope you'll be able to reopen your case successfully.
(But seriously, first nata_cap, then you, it's very unfair. At least they could check the completeness straight away.)
