EE who waiting more than 2 months after AOR join here

Recently I found a weird pattern of processing.
I know a few people who had submitted their PR application under EE.

1st one, he submitted his last Friday. Following Monday, he got additional document request.
It is not common thing for those who got invited under FSTP.
We guess that his family's open work permit is processed in his country and it is almost the final stage.
That is why VO is processing his PR applicaion ahead of others since he wants to give this family PR without issuing the open work permit.

2nd one, she submitted her application on mid Feb. And with AOR she got, she applied BOPW as well.
She hasn't heard anything from CIC until this Tuesday. It is almost more than 2 months. However on Tuesday, she got her BOPW approved which is almost 65 days and got additional document request which are biodata and copy of passport.

According to these case, I just assume VO is processing someone has multiple application going on CIC first.

wow at least your case just one month . mine its been 10 weeks since i submitted application showing same in e-cas that you indicate below. i didn't submitted my spouse police certificate that time ,if Cic open my application definitely asking Pcc first .but no luck till now.

yes, you are right. CIC will ask for PCC or medicals as first thing, if that's missing in your application.

so you also applied under CEC?

sometimes, no news is good news..I guess!

I also applied very comparatively early (got ITA on 31st January) and have waited all this time for something, anything, to change on my account.

Nothing at all. Apart from the letter saying I got put onto FSW by mistake.

Good idea think I'm putting this to the test. I've seen some strange things too with guys getting letters saying they out of status and 3 weeks later they have ppr

So do I my trv expire in August my wp expire in October so technically I can apply for open visa as u can do it in 6 months but wp only in June I've been waiting for 10 weeks without a peep and other guys 2 days so my thinking is I'm happy to drop the cash if it trigger something on my pr aplication it's cost me so much right now that couple of hundred is drop in the bucket. They can just say no or hurry up either way I'm testing the theory

Hi Guys,

I received ITA under CEC in 3rd draw. I submitted application on March 5th. Soon after Review of eligibility and background check were in progress. After long wait,
On 25 April, my medical status changed to 'passed'. Toady I got message to submit RCMP clearance report.
I think CIC starts picking CEC cases too.
