I'm thinking that somehow my original and EE applications have been merged???

They used medicals from EE app for original paper app, EE is still in Sydney NS awaiting eligibility review, whilst original paper app, which was sent to Sydney NS in December, has progressed to CPC Ottawa after being reviewed for eligibility. Paper app is quoted as 27 months but already at medical stage and EE app which is quoted as 6 months and 4 months in hasn't progressed at all?

Cheers Bud I may do that. I'd be a lot less frustrated if people with March AOR weren't getting PPR before we've seen any progress.

I got a second AOR last week. I was hoping that it would say that my application had been checked for completeness. However, it was identical to the first one I got, other than it said that the application was received on Feb 20th, rather than January 31st. It still says my application is 'being checked for completeness'. I've not heard of anyone else getting the same AOR twice (with a 3 month gap between)...

I have no further status updates (everything is still 'not needed at this time / not started'). Maybe this means that someone has finally started to look at my file? I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

The only reason that you're not seeing is they have not promoted your application to GCMS. GCMS is the final destination for all PR applications and allows you to access your file via ECAS. So, do not worry and you will get the access soon. Usually new ECAS process status will be first time updated on Tuesdays. So, checkback on Tuesday.

Any application (eAPR) upon submission by default and will be promoted to GCMS, which later either be cancelled (if found In-complete) or goes to In Process until the Medicals received. Once, the eMedicals were passed then the ECAS status changes to Application Received.

Thanks Jaffa83,
Still a bit confused as to why when I submitted my completed application on April 2nd and received my AOR on April 10th, why my application has not been started, passed to GCMS or anything??

It could be worse. I received my AOR on the 14th of February and mine hasn't been started either!

Interesting, but send a CSE using this link with your question. They will answer very quickly if you select EE under the Type of Application.

Appreciated, but I've sent numerous CSEs and called the call centre a few times (at times they've told me to, for instance "call us when you're 3 months in so we can chase up your medical") only to be told they've received my application and I just have to wait...

Interesting link. However although it states application processing times will start once application is deemed complete, then your six months starts. Some applications have been approved and completed within the 6 month timescale and without a completeness letter. In say a thew months.
Also if this was the case then does the six month period start once you recieve your completeness check?
And not the date your application was recieved by CIC as per ECAS status?
None of what cic states and what it does seems to relate to any of this.

Remember that EE is a new process and no one not even CIC has a set of standard procedures set so far. For example..they revised the PCC acceptance from 3 to 6 months, Issuing of 2nd AOR with the completeness verification etc. So far what I have seen here is that the CIC has now updating things to follow a procedures as their real testing time is completed so far. Now, we may expect the processing times etc are changing based the file processed date etc.

What I do think Is that everyone's file and circumstances are different. We should not try to find a 'trend' set by CIC or some patterns of processing etc. People should remind themselves that their file if complete and true , will be processed and hopefully approved in a much quicker timeframe than previous years. For that alone we should be positive
