I think the job duties are more important than the job title. I applied under the title which does not sound like my job (even my employer was a bit confused), but the job duties match with my work. I believe as long as the job duties on the employment letter are close with the NOC # you applied, then you should be fine.

But I'm no expert here, just sharing my experience. Hope it helps.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I personally agree, but my title is like in the C category. i am afraid of being rejected at this point.

From http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp it states
"Click on the NOC title (to visit the NOC site)
  • and make sure the main duties listed match what you did at your job
  • if they don't, you’ll need to find a different job title with duties that match yours"
Clearly they care about duties and not title. Worrying won't help your mind, it just adds stress. Just have the documentation that supports what you actually did (along with specific examples of doing those duties in your head in case asked).

Noc 6221 is in level B tho. (Technical sales specialists - wholesale trade)

In your original post, you were saying your job duties fall in Noc 6221, but your title from work is Sales Assistant which is in level C? Do your job duties also match with Sales Assistant?

As drewinoakville said in the reply, just have enough support documents to prove that you are doing whatever you claimed.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
As stated by others, what is important is that your NOC matches your duties and responsibilities.

Your job title could be "Batman" but as long as your duties match your NOC you're fine.

The sales assistant is right in the example titles of 6421 (C) http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3VD.pl?Function=getAllExample&TVD=122372&CVD=122376&CPV=6421&CST=01012011&CLV=4&MLV=4&V=81597&VST=01012011
6421 is more like sales person in stores. My actual duties do not match that at all.

appreciated! I find it on the website. you are right, since employer won't change the title for me, the only way better preparing documents.
