Hello All,

I've tried twice to submit my profile under express entry and three times I received "Profile Ineligible".
I am not sure why? I think I'm meeting the required score i.e 67.

Below are my details required for EE:-

1) Education:- I have a bachelors in Mechanical Engineering in India and 2 Masters degrees in the US. One full time MS in Mechanical and a part time MBA. I did the ECA for my 2 Masters degrees (not for bachelors) and for both I got WES equivalent to Canadian Masters degree
2) IELTS:- CLB - 9 ( Listening 8.0, Reading 8.5, Writing 7.5, Speaking 8.0= Average 8.0)
3) Work Experience:- 7+ years ( NOC 2132 Mechanical Engineer for 7 years and less than 1 year for NOC 0124 as a Product Manager)
4) Age:- 32 years
5) Fund:- $35,000
6) Marital Status:- Married

Spouse IELTS scores CLB - 8 ( Listening 8.0, Reading 6.5, Writing 6.5, Speaking 7.0= Average 7.0)
NO ECA done for spouse as she is not the primary applicant

I am stating my NOC of interest as 0124 since it is what I am currently doing and interested in pursuing within CANADA. Do I need 6 years of experience in the NOC of interest that I choose?

Please help me out. I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Do I meet the necessary score in order to be in the express entry pool?
If you need any other details to answer my question, please let me know.

You need at least one year of experience in the NOC that you choose.

Your skilled work experience must be:
  • in the same type of job (have the same NOC) as the job you want to use for your immigration application (called your primary occupation)
  • within the last 10 years
  • paid work (This means you must have been paid wages or earned commission. Volunteer work or unpaid internships don’t count.)
  • at least 1 year of continuous work or 1,560 hours total (30 hours per week)

@21Goose Thank you very much for your insight. In that case, if I change my NOC to 2132 where I have 7+ years of experience, will it help? In my educational requirement, I have give 4 academic years for my Bachelors and 2 each for my Masters. Is that a problem as well?

If I choose 2132 as NOC where I have more than 7 years of experience as the primary job occupation instead of 'Product Manager' which is actually my current position, will it be a problem?
