Hi,

I have applied for the EE but I received an eligibility letter. I want to open a new profile again but I had a few questions:

- There is a question about whether I have applied for Express entry before, If yes, I have to provide the EE application number. Do I select yes and provide the number? Even though I was not rejected but deemed as ineligible (Apologies if the question sounds very stupid, but I just want to make sure)

- I have worked as a reservations agent from Nov 2021 to April 2022, then I was promoted to Supervisor in May 2023. I have completed one year in this NOC 62022 this year in May.

- I was studying until April 2023 when I get the job at this hotel. Should I still mention this experience in my work history even though work experience as a student does not count? (Another stupid question, sorry)

- My Ielts was done in April 2024 and overall Band is 8

If there is anything else needed from my end, please let me know. I just want to understand how to avoid this again before I submit my application

- My funds are higher than the required funds stated on the IRCC portal

What is your selection score out of 100? Do you have at least 67 points to be eligible for express entry? ECA?

You have not applied to EE yet.

Creating a profile is not applying. If you have simply created a profile and was not invited to apply and submitted an application then your answer is no.

I am not sure how to check my selection score. Can you share a link that I can access to check this? I have completed my ECA as well. I have the reference number with me.

I did check my CRS score though. It is 515

Thank you for clarifying! But I was doubtful about this because I had received a letter stating that I am ineligible. There is an EE Reference number on that letter. That is why I was worried about whether I should mention if I have applied for EE before.

Google - Express Entry selection score. Not sure how you got 515 - assume you are fluent in French and English, Masters, LMIA

What is your full profile?

Hi Sweepin_0495,

Don't worry, your questions aren't stupid at all—it's important to get things right!

  • For the first question, yes, you should select "yes" and provide your previous EE application number even if your application was deemed ineligible and not outright rejected. This ensures full transparency and compliance with the application process.
  • Regarding your work experience, you should include all relevant job roles. Even though your student work experience might not count towards the full-time skilled work requirement, it's beneficial to have a complete work history. Just ensure that you clearly distinguish between the periods when you were studying and when you were working full-time.
  • For your IELTS score and funds, it looks like you're well-prepared. An overall band of 8 is excellent, and having funds above the required threshold is also a positive factor.
To better understand why your previous application was ineligible and how to improve your new submission, consider ordering GCMS notes. These notes provide specific insights and can be really helpful. You can learn more about ordering them from gcmsnotesrequest.ca.

Good luck with your new profile submission!
