Hi everyone!

Just applied for express entry, currently I'm sitting at 400 points. I'm aware that's low and I'd like to try to improve my score. Here's the breakdown.

Federal Skilled Worker Met
Provincial Nominee Program Not Met
Canadian Experience Class Met
Federal Skilled Trades Not Met
Overall Score 400
CRS - Human Capital - Age 110
CRS - Human Capital - Level of Education 98
CRS - Human Capital - First Official Language Proficiency 111
CRS - Human Capital - Second Official Language Proficiency 0
CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience 40
CRS - Spouse - Level of Education 0
CRS - Spouse - First Official Language Proficiency 0
CRS - Spouse - Canadian Work Experience 0
CRS - Skill Transferability - Education 26
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 0
CRS - Additional - French Proficiency or Bilingualism 0
CRS - Additional - PR or Canadian Sibling 0
CRS - Skill Transferability - Certificate of Qualification 0
CRS - Canadian education 15
CRS - Arranged Employment 0
Provincial/Territorial Nomination 0

CELPIP Test
Listening 9, Reading 12, Writing 8, Speaking 8

A few thing I'm concerned about: I have a NOC B type job, I went to university here in Canada straight after graduating High School in my home country, hence my only 1 and a half year of work experience in my field. I have a Post graduate work permit and none of my employers (including my current one) have provided me with an LMIA. Should I be concerned about that?

Thanks!

Concerned about what? The fact that your employers won't provide you with an LMIA? I don't know if you should consider that to be 'overtly concerning' - LMIAs take a lot of extra work that employers can avoid by just hiring someone who already has full work authorization (a citizen, PR holder, or someone with an open work permit). I wouldn't stress about it too much.

But you can increase your CRS score by 37 points (if my calculations are correct) if you retake the CELPIP and try for CLB 10 in all 4 abilities (you already managed it with Reading, and were close with Listening - a little more preparation and practice and you should be able to get there).

Plus, if you're currently employed, you should get another 25 points in 6 months (again if my calculations are correct), when you cross over into 2 years of Canadian work experience...
