Hello Gents/Ladies,

I'm new to this forum which I found while trying to find guidance for few questions I have regarding the EE and OINP-FSWP:

1- My "expected" CRS score would be 406, in effect, I'll be hoping to avail a PNP - I'm only waiting for recipient of ECA report to fire my EE profile away, expected next Mon/Tues; will I be VERY ambitious to look for OINP PT within few days of EE profile submission?

2- Coming next August, my CRS will drop by 10 pts; through which point of the process I need to maintain the 400pts mark? in other words, when the CRS score becomes irrelevant? Am I too ambitious to think the process could conclude before August 2016?

3- since graduation I've been in many jobs, should I list all those? or only the last 9 years will suffice for which I availed the reference letters exactly as per the format needed for OINP? will there be any missed out points/grades for not providing the reference letters for previous jobs?

4- I'm a wireless networks (GSM/3G/LTE) pre-sales engineer by profession with B.Sc. communications engineering + MBA, I contacted NOC twice for assistance to find my NOC, first time they proposed to use :NOC code 2171 - Information systems analysts and consultants, however I am not an IT engineer!

waiting few days and asking again, they suggested: NOC code 6221 - Technical sales specialists – wholesale trade (technical sales representative): , which is class "B" NOC, does it make any difference "0" "A" or "B", I wonder?

IF I was to chose, the closest "honest" match is: NOC code 2147 (Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)) which I think they never proposed to use since it seems to "may" require P.Eng. licensing as per their website requirements, since I never worked in Canada, I'm not licensed by any province, my question is: can I use it nevertheless? I read in OINP guide that only those currently working in Canada and applying for OINP (CEC) need to be licensed, does the same applies for FSWP? which one of the 3 NOCs should I use?

5- I read somewhere on the forum that OINP will "pause" and not make new PTs during Dec/Jan, does this apply to OINP-FSWP?

really appreciate your help in advance and praying for the best of luck for all.

1. People with score at 400 have also received PT. So you are very well in the competetion.
2. If you received PT before your score drops and send your documents prior that, you are good to go. Someone with 400 score got ontario PT and his/her score dropped below 400 after he sent documents and ontario received them so he/she was good to go.
3. Score max out for 3plus years of work exp, so you can list what you feel appropriate. I have also heard that ontario looks for last 10 years work experience so you have to confirm this and keep this in mind if ontario nominates you.
4. Go through your responsibilities and duties carefully and a best match to standard one will be one you chose. I think O, A, B doesnt make much of a difference.
5. I think this is not applicable to OINP and only for certain other programs.

I would like other expereinced folks to give you more insight on your questions.

many thanks for taking the time to reply. I truly appreciate it.

just a clarification for point#2: I read in OINP guide "You must maintain a minimum score of 400 points on the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) through the Ontario processing stage and your Application for Permanent Residence to CIC."

to be specific, when does that reference to? receiving the PR? or just being granted the nomination?

for point#4: Do they expect the applicants with regulated NOCs (like NOC code 2147 (Computer engineers (except software engineers and designers)) to be licensed even though they never been in Canada?

Point #2 - What the guide is saying is that you have to maintain the minimum score throughout the entire process: from sending out a completed OINP app, to approval, to getting your nomination in your CIC account, to accepting such nomination, to getting ITA for PR, to sending in the PR app. I believe you will be fine if it drops after you receive AOR, others with more knowledge please correct me if I'm wrong. Since you are good until August, you probably will be fine (assuming you get PT notification and all the steps flow smoothly).

Point #4 - the regulated professions part is a bit tricky. Those with work experience in Canada in a regulated profession absolutely need to show that they have/had the requisite license in order to get points. For those outside Canada, I believe we still need to show them proof that we have/had the requisite license in the country/territory where the job was held. I am in such a boat and I am providing proof of such license.

Best wishes to you.

Hello,
I am going to take the IELTS test on February and then to submit my CIC EE profile.
According to my past experience with IELTS and my details, I assume that my score will be approximately 437 points. If I will send my spouse to do her IELTS and accredit her education it will add 5 and 10 points respectively.
What are my chances to get an invitation for sponsorship from Ontario through EE ?
It says that I have to gain more than 400 points in the EE profile to be eligble for sposoship. Are there other requirements to be met for Ontario? I read here that people got Sponsorship invitation from Ontario in the past year with 411, 407 EE score etc… - does it make sense ? If so I don't have to use my spouse's education and IELTS ( Efforts and Expanses)
Is it worth to pay for the accreditation and the exam for my spouse ?
Are the chances for additional 600 points are good or should I look for other options such as Job offer ?
Thanks

I appreciate your sincere wishes :)

the job I have now where I live (Egypt) doesn't need any licensing, it is however accredited by my company internally which I am accredited for since 2014

Dear Sir, I need you support for NOC selection.

My Degree: Electrical & Eletronics Enineering and want to apply for Manitoba oversears skilled program, My close relative can sponser me.

I studied the duties of NOC 2133 as given on CIC weside.

1) My duties(3.0 years exp) of Electrical Equipment/System Installation are clearly falling under NOC 2133. I don't have any doubt. I know these falls under 2133.

2) My duties(Current 1.5 years exp) in telecommunication industry as RF engineer(Duties: Operation & Maintenance of Wireless telecommunication or Radio Equipment/system like BTS, ENOD B, RRH ect)), I don't know whether these will fall under NOC 2133 or not? ......

My Doubts:
a) NOC 2133: There is mentioned many times Electrical & Electronics Equipment and systems like installation and operation of Electrical & Electronics Equipment and systems , Investigate failure of Electrical & Electronics Equipment and systems …. I don’t have any doubt on electrical equipment and systems, but I have doubt on ELECTRONICS euipment………………I don’t know which kind of these ELECTRONICS equipment are mentioned in NOC 2133… Logically Telecom or Wireless Radio Equipment are also electronic equipment…….these equipment also called electronic communications equipment as per link below. Cell site means telecom tower……

b) NOC 2133: It is also mentioned some words like Electronic communications , instrumentations, and control system, equipment and components. I am in doubt whether yellow highlight word include the telecom industry. I mean telecommunication equipment also.

c) NOC 2147(Computer and telecommunication Hardware Engineer): It is mentioned some titles like Telecommunication engineer, Wireless communications engineer, Telecommunication hardware engineer, all the duties seems very closely to hardware something…...

d) I need to show 4 or more years of experience in last five years to get the 75 points of experience….If I apply in NOC 2133 only in EOI, then I submit the reference letters at the time of application, Now, if case officer feels that my 1.5 years experience does not match with 2133, then he may reject my application due to OVER CLAIMED POINTS……Can they do like this or not?

e) Can I apply in both NOC 2133 + 2147? If yes, then how to apply in two NOC?

f) Will they count experience only ‘’Number OF YEARS exp IN LAST FIVE YEARS IN INTENDED OCCUPATION’’…..In this case, My Intended occupation will be Electrical & Electronics Engineer and 3.5 years of experience in last five years. Means only points for 3 years exp.
