EE - NOC Clarification

Hello guys,

I am making my EE profile. My score is 385. I know it's low but still I want to give it a shot. I have 3 years of experience in NOC 2173, but recently I have done my Master's related to NOC 2172. Should I apply in NOC 2173 or 2172. Which NOC will have better chance? Please advice. Seniors please help.

Hello,

NOC doesn't have anything to do with your education, it is all about your work experience. If you have worked under NOC 2173, then you should declare 2173 as the NOC of your previous work experience.

As for your score, it doesn't change anything as long as they are both under one of the required categories: 0, A or B

But I read somewhere about the cap on each NOC. Applying in an NOC which is already full won't hamper my chances??

I am not sure if there is any quota based on NOC's at all. The thing is CIC wants to invite say 750 applicants.
It sends ITAs to the top 750 in the EE-pool no matter what NOC they have, the ones who have more CRS-points,
have more chances to be invited (regardless of their NOCs).

There is no NOC cap under EE. You may have been reading the requirements for previous years.
