I am currently working for a fortune 500 company and got a permanent job offer in their corporate head office. The HR site has indicated that they will not help employee for immigration. They hired me as I had a open work permit that allows me work for couple years while I was thinking as long as I work enough time then I will get my PR and no need to worry about my status afterward. In fact, it is so hard to get into a public corporation when I first graduated while everyone had a hard time to get a job offer. But I made it in after switching jobs which was such an encouragement since I thought I can finally start building up my career path. I really like my current job and my manager and directors all happy with my performance and willing to give me opportunity. Now I am kind of forced to need to reconsider any other firm(probably smaller firm) that might not give me as good offer but willing to give me a LMIA.
I couldn't get as high score as majority of the FSW since they usually have more experience while I just worked for a year after I graduate. I am also currently in my designation program that required 2.5 year experience as well as passing all the exams. Since my work permit is going to expire within a year, now I am really worry if I couldn't get PR then I will also couldn't get sufficient experience for my designation even I have passed majority of the exams already. If I don't have enough Canadian experience, all my past years effort will become nothing.
I have already been in Canada for 8-9 years, majority of my ties are in Canada. I paid all my tuition fee here, contributed to taxes here after I work. I could't imagine myself need to go back to my home country and start off everything again.
Although in a small part of my heart think CIC will not forget us this group of CEC candidate, this first draw really made me upset and disappointed. I am pretty sure lot of you guys are in similar situation. Sorry for making this long, but just really need to share my thought after all these sleepless nights in the past whole week.
