Hi guys, first time posting a thread here.

I have a conundrum that need your advises.

Right now, my EE score in the system is 431 which let me got the invitation from last round. However, since my birthday was March 18th, 1987, my actually score should be 426. The system did not update my score after my 30th birthday.

So I am not sure if I should use this invitation to apply or deny it. I don't want to waste my time considering the possibility of rejection in the process after I submitted all the paperwork. Plus, my latest IELTS score just came out and it can bump my EE score up to 443.

Really need your inputs and if someone can share a similar experience would be great!

Thanks,
Ben

so you turned 30 in march. at the time of ITA, your score should have been 426. you got the IELTS after the ITA. Decline the ITA and wait for the next draw. on calculation, you will be rejected and most likely due to misrepresentation. that is a ban of 5 years. dont take a chance.

It's a ban of 5 years?!

Wow, in that case I have to wait for the next round of invitation then.

misrepresentation means you cant get permission to Canada permanently or temporarily for 5 years

What about switching your old IELTS with the latest one? So that you'd still have enough points for the draw you were picked in. That should be a better option.

the new ielts results were out after receiving the ITA. at the time of ITA, the OP was not eligible.

Your application may be rejected but you cant get banned for misrepresentation because it was not willful and it also was not your fault. The circumstances under which you may get banned is if you had declared a false age on your EE profile..that is willful.

I just called CIC phone centre for advise.

Basically they said I could keep the application going with a explanation letter to the officer listing all the details of my situation. But, it is my own choice to whether do it or not...

They also call this a "unique" situation.. :D

Good point.
But I also afraid of wasting time...

i think u should go through with ur application as u can add ur new IELTS and u should be fine as long as you qualify for PR they will recalculate CRS at the time of e-APR so u should be fine if ur score remains above cut off CRS. Again this is my understanding.

Why don't you just use new IELTS and wait another 2 weeks? It will be safer and less worry for you. With 443, you will almost certain to get invitation next time.

If you accept the current invitation, you will be at the mercy of the visa officer and you may need to wait 3 months to get a rejection before starting over again.

I will think about it.
