In the Express Entry profile, it asks employment history details: employer, country and city etc.

1. What is the exact expectation from IRCC with regard to Country and City fields? Do they refer to the employer country and City ? Or the employee's actual location ?

I was working in Indian until 2020Feb, then I went on a personal visit to US. With the Covid pandemic, I happened to stay there and worked for my Indian company remotely (I didn't earn any cent nor employed in US). Even in India, there was a lockdown in my area. In 2021, I moved back. My company didn't involve my visit at all and it was solely a personal visit.

2. In my case, what should be mentioned for the period in US for Employment History? Can I mention the Indian location Or should it be US ?
3. If I add the US location, IRCC may think I worked for a US company. So, Can I add the Indian company and Indian address in EE profile and if I get ITA, can I explain my situation with a letter of explanation when submitting the PR application ?
4. Will IRCC request for a letter from my employer for remote work ?

Since you are from India, you work as a contractor. You are not expected to list the employer, you should rather list the entity that you filed (GST registration name).

I worked for my Canadian employer from India as a contractor on paper and hence wrote myself as a Sole Proprietor, {Entity name} and my entity's location instead of employer's.

Thanks @iSaidGoodDay for your response.
Actually I am working for the Indian company and my position is permanent, not contract. My work has nothing to do with US. I physically worked in Indian company premises before moving to US and, I am working there after returned back. So, in my case, Isn't it the company's address to be mentioned for the all period including the out of country (I will anyway add an explanation)

I misread your post and assumed you were working remotely for a US employer, apologies for that!

List your company's Indian location and your employer name. You should be fine. You never worked in the US.
