Can you please tell me if i can apply for a TRV right now? I'm on a WP until the 15th of October.
I dont want to be put in a position to "restore" my status here so i'm avoiding that as well, if i can.

Just apply for regular Visa, submit the letter you applied for Bridge Work Permit. But in your case, i am not sure about the PR application part. I submitted my AOR as well.
Also, you can apply for regular visit visa, for someone who is coming to Canada.

Because the implied status is depending on an outcome (Pr application) that has now been rejected. At that point , you become out of status if your BOWP is rejected. You can try and submit you know but seek expert advice on this for sure.

yes, agreed at some point. But if he applies before that point he should be fine. Like they are still working on July applicants for BOWP, he submitted on late September, dont think they will get to it until end of November..

What if I am invited to apply for Express Entry while waiting for a new work permit?

As long as you still have implied status at the time you apply, you do not need to wait for your new work permit to be approved.

If we issue you a new work permit before you submit your application, you need to update this information before you submit it.

If we refuse you a new work permit before you submit your application, you may want to decline the invitation to apply, since the information in your profile is no longer up to date. You will be put back in the pool, and should update your profile to show the change in your work status.

How exactly do i update it? Web forms? This is exactly what my immigration lawyer told me.

Hello,

I applied for PR (express entry) while on implied status - but did not attach proof of implied status (proof that i had applied for WP extension before my existing WP expired).

I have since submitted a webform explaining that i had implied status when i applied for PR and gave proof as well. Has anyone been in this situation?
