EE application: Spouse Unaccompanying, but she is in Canada on TRV

Hello People, please help me regarding this:

Am on a student visa, my wife and boy have work permit and TRV respectively. I have since created an EE profile, only issue is my point is low, less than 430. With spouse Unaccompanying, it's closer to 450. Can I go with the latter then sponsor her later? My wife is already in Canada with me, what impact will this have on my application?
