Hi,

Has anyone got a visa by showin a loan against a fresh FD? this is the fastest way to get a loan sanction letter, but my agent is advising against it as a fresh FD will not be considered..... do i need to show any backups like property evaluation?
PlZZZZZZZ help

no i dont think that it will create a problem as embassy will only whether educational loan has been sanctioned by the bank or not even i think loan will not be carryng such information regarding fresh fd

yes the sanction letter will not state that it is a fresh FD, However the FD is in the joint name of me and my friend so is it ok?

your friend why not yours parents.... is your loan letter is showing your boths names or yours only

it shows only my name but my agent says it is not so reliable way of a loan as this is then a demand loan :( do u knw anyone who had done dis sucessfully?

actually i dont know anyone who has done that but may be other can help you ...try to send pm to "enfield" and who is ur consultant?

It's absolutely fine to take a loan against FD - Fresh or Old, it doesn't make any difference. I don't think on a loan sanction letter the bank even states the tenure of FD or the date when FD was put in place for a loan !!

Go right ahead with it Melaine ;) ;) !!!

dun wori its k....embessy want a genuine loan letter on ur name ,nuthing else.....n it mus be education loan....fresh or old fd has nuthing to do wid it..................n if they will be having any query they will ask bank abt it frm the ref num which mus be written on ur letter,n as per one of my known chief manager told me he says tat they jus query tat whether loan is genuine or not,,,they dun even ask about fd or property........so go n submit ur file,,,,dese agents dun knw anything except making money.. :)

thanx ill get it done. And Jaijai my agent is geebee, thats wat they have been tellin me that if the FD is shared by a non relative it could pose a problem. so we are tryin to get a FD in my parents and my name.
