Educational Credential Assessment Process for Pakistani Applicants

Currently I'm outside Pakistan, maybe I'll use OCS courier for attestation. There're lots of hurdles that I'm facing.

I tried to create an account on DAS and their system mention me that I already had an account. When I tried to reset my password from forgot password section then it says "No username or email" exists. ???

HEC staff didn't pick calls.

BTW, you really helped me a lot to educate about the process.

Let me start process from Matric and Intermediate attestation as you suggest me and then will see for HEC possibilities.

You are welcome, try using your CNIC as username - use it without dashes, just cnic digits.

Also I read it somewhere that OCS opens the documents envelope, if its true then don't use OCS.

In your previous post, you mentioned that you delivered HEC attested documents via Fedex. How you deal with Fedex to get HEC documents and send through them to Canada? But the requirement of Canadian organization (ICAS) is HEC will have to send documents to them.

On ICAS website:
HEC-attested photocopies of both the graduation diploma / degree certificate and marks certificates submitted to ICAS in an envelope which has been signed and sealed by the HEC (Higher Education Commission). Please note that the attestation package must be prepared by the HEC Islamabad office. Documents attested by the regional centers will not be accepted.

Means it must be sealed by Islamabad HEC, which is head office, in case of ICAS you can't think about regional offices, they will handover it to you and you can send it through Fedex. For this you would have to go to Islamabad.

Yes for ICAS packing must be done by HEC ISB only. I explored on forum and I found that I can request HEC in a cover letter to provide attestation into sealed envelope. After that I can send HEC attested documents along with my photocopies sets to ICAS from courier like: FedEX etc..

I'm further confirming about send HEC envelope from same courier.

I also found an important thing on ICAS that's:

The assessment process begins when we have received all required documents for all qualifications which you would like to appear on the Assessment Report. If you are submitting documents for multiple qualifications, the assessment will not begin until we have received all documents for all qualifications. If you have a completed postsecondary qualification (college/university), secondary school documents are not usually required and their inclusion may delay your process.

means only HEC attestation is required as Bachelor degree is my last qualification.

I Shall appreciate if someone could tell me "what level of Pakistan's Bachelor Degree is with Canadian Degree?

Is our Four Years Degree is equalant to Canadian 4 years Bachelor Degree??

1-What about ICAS and CEC? as i do not want the SSC & HSSC Process in Pakistan as its very Complicated. anybody done Verification without Sending SSC & HSSC Degrees?

2-If I need to go by WES than how to send through IBCC? anybody sent through IBCC and got success?

What about for someone who has done O and A levels? How can they submit their documents to WES? The website doesn't mention anything about it

HSSC is mandatory and you may get extra points for having 2 or more degrees.

I got attestations from IBBC they are really cruel these days.You have to get the sealed verifications from Board,which will send sealed docs directly to IBCC and board will give you a registry #.then you will go to IBCC and inquire about your documents showing them the registry#.

But you can get all the attestation in no time if you have your originals attested before, from IBCC after year 2010.

As i got attestation for originals in 2007 so they asked me to provide fresh verification from respective board.

2.SSC is not mandatory you dont need to go for this.

3.HEC can Provide you attestation in 1 day.they are good.

WES attest only for Public sector universities those are listed on their website.Not for Private universities.

Remember get the attestations on Colored copies only.(Not the case for ICAS).

I heard WES takes less time for assessment well as ICAS and CEC take 14 weeks.

I have applied for WES and got the Verification number, Now I need assessment for HSSC, BSc & MCS Degrees/Transcripts.

I will send SSC+ HSSC (degree/Trans.) in one Envelope and BSc+MCS (Degree + Trans.) in another Envelope.

Is this enough? One Copy of Degree & Transcript is enough to Assess all the Three Degrees mentioned above?

Can anyone tell me What will be equivalency?

I have completed (4 years Program) BACHELOR OF SCIENCE in ELECTRICAL & (2 years Program) BACHELOR OF SCIENCE.

Actually, when i was doing 2 years BSC program, i have completed 4 years BSC program then i had applied for ICAS they issued me report. my equivalency is 4 Years Bachelor's degree.

My question is that now if i will apply for 2 BSC Degree for equivalency in ICAS then what will i get equivalency???

Has anyone from Pakistan used International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES) to get their ECA. I was looking at their website and they said it takes 4-6 weeks to product the ECA after they get all the documents. Most interesting thing is that in the list of 'required documents' for applicants from Pakistan there is no mention of HEC attestation ;D

So I am thinking about using ICES and skipping the nightmare process of HEC attestation that is needed by both WES and ICAS. Has anyone used ICES?

As per ICAS requirement, I sent the Documents for HEC Attestation in a sealed envelope and also attached a cover letter for sealing the envelope through Leopard Courier (As HEC has now Authorized Leopard Courier). But They have not sent the Photocopies in an sealed envelope, upon asking Leopard office and then they called HEC Islamabad in front of me, Their Guy at HEC Islamabad told them to ask me to get it sealed from HEC Karachi office which will be equally accepted internationally.

Then, I went To HEC Karachi office and asked them and they sealed the HEC Islamabad attested photocopies in White Colored Official HEC Envelope but have stamped it as HEC Karachi, I even asked the HEC Karachi Official who sealed the envelope that, Will ICAS Canada accept it, he said: "Sure they will"

So my question is will this sealed envelope be accepted by ICAS? or will they ask for sealed Envelope from Islamabad?
