education points for foreign dentist

Hi i am a dentist from India. While putting my PR file for Canada, my consultant is insisting to consider 112 points for my educational qualification as of Bachelors Degree. But according to my knowledge, I think Dentistry is considered in PROFFESSIONAL degree and hence 126 points should be kept for the same.
Anyone thorough with this please reply.

Of course it's a professional degree. But what do u mean by putting the marks? Doesn't it get scored itself after you fill your information. It is clearly written"dentistry" in that column.

Well my profile has been created by the consultant agency. So I dont know whether we need to put the points or it directly gets filled in when we put the education details.

This is what is frustrating about this new system. People are paying consultants lots of money and not getting the correct service. EE is very new and everyone is learning the process even Lawyers and consultants don't fully understand the system. You cannot enter any scores into the system. If you have qualifications from Canadian education the system will award points automatically based on your level of education. If, like most people here you obtained these qualifications outside of Canada you will need to get them assessed by someone like WES. This report is sent to CIC and you are given a reference code i believe and then awarded points. Can i ask why you are paying a consultant at this stage and have they made you any promises? I would strongly suggest you do the EE online application yourself and then if you receive an ITA (Invitation to Apply) you hire a consultant or Lawyer to help you out.

Ya I have already done my WES evaluation and in that it is clearly mentioned 5 years proffessional study. But still they are not agreeing with it. Secondly I want to confirm my points, pls suggest me how should I do.

Sorry, I am confused. What does your report from WES say. As I understood it they contacted CIC directly and then points are awarded. Can you be a bit more clearer. How many points have you been awarded in your profile?

I hv not submitted my profile yet..bt according to wes i want to clear my doubt about my education points. In wes it is mention 5 years of professional study..so which level of education i belong to bachelor or professional study?

Dentistry is the first professional degree. Nobody can deny it. Pls go to ur consultant and show him everything over the CIC site. Also u may use the CIC CRS tool that is available on the site to know your approximate score. I'm a dentist too so don't let anyone downgrade our profession
