My brother has good experience in IT but his education is bachelors in commerce.

Can he get points for education, if experience doesn't align with education?

Based on his ECA not his NOC.
 
Thanks for the reply but it is not very clear. What I understand is that if educational credential assessment accepts his degree to be equivalent to bachelors then it does not matter if the degree is unrelated to his experience.

Correct. For EE his education doesn’t need to match his NOC.
