Education Evaluation from University of Toronto

Good morning everyone,

I recently sent my education packet (request form and official transcripts from my university) to the University of Toronto School of Continuing Education for evaluation. Has anyone used them and know what their processing time usually is? Their website says 15 weeks, but I know of people who have received it in a roughly a month. The payment was processed and cleared already, so I was curious if that was something they did immediately or if it was indicative of the evaluation being nearly complete.

Any thoughts?

I used them to evaluate my Bachelors Degree on the recommendation of my friend. I submitted in mid January 2015 and got my evaluation done in the last week of April 2015. So my processing time was 14 weeks.

I went through them... It takes exactly 15 weeks as said in the website.

the 15 weeks start from the date the package received from ur college (I hope u got ur student ID as the payment is already done.)

the people who got in a month may be went through different evaluation system like WES.

I did get a student ID-- is there a way to track the submission? (I'm unsure what purpose the student ID serves in this situation.)

I'm registered for the IELTS in March, so there is no rush for the evaluation to come through sooner. Mainly just curiosity between the time payment was processed and when I should start watching my mail.

Student ID helps only in one case ... when u call them or email them for inquiry... u can give them for reference.

There is no way to track the submission.

Once u get to know that the package (edu docs) has been delivered to UOT from ur college... wait for couple of weeks and send out an email or call them.

Follow up with them until u get to know that the educational docs from ur college has been attached to ur application..... then the 15 weeks time start for you.

For University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies I think the University has to post the sealed document to them.

For WES you can post the sealed envelope. Ensure it has the University seal on the back.

If you use UofT, you have to have the university send the transcripts.

They wait to compare the documents you sent to the documents the University sent. If they match then the processing begins.

when did your payment processed?

nope, fee processing is not the start. The application should be complete - in other words, if u r going only with ur bachelors in ur application... then the bachelors certs should be reached to UOT from ur university to start the 15 weeks. (if u r going with bachelors and Masters both... then both edu docs/certs should reach UOT to make ur application complete)

as ur fee is processed and edu certs/docs reached the UOT... give atleast a week and then make sure that edu docs have been attached to ur application and process is started.

I had called them thrice.... first two times they said still checking for complete application (even though my fee is processed and edu docs reached them) on third attempt they told me that my application is complete and process is started.

In my case..

My fee processed first as there was delay from university to post the sealed envelope.

after 2 weeks edu docs reached UOT....

then I waited for about a week and started to call UOT.
