Education Credential Assessment - Query

Hello Everyone,

I am from India and i am looking forward to apply express entry. I have a clarification in ECA step. I have completed bachelors degree in engineering in a college and it is associated with an university. My college name is Dhanalakshmi College Of Engineering where I studied for 4 years for Bachelors degree and it is affiliated with Anna University.

Now my query is should i approach my college to request them to arrange transcripts and send the documents to ECA assessing body or should i approach the university and request it ?

You need to contact your university directly and arrange the transcripts. because if you are getting the ECA done from WES they will ask to receive the transcripts directly from the university and will not accept it if the college sends it. and not even if you send it.

Hello k.singh90, thank you for your quick reply. Can you please let me know if there is alternative option to submit my transcripts through my college other than WES because it is difficult to approach university as they are not quick to respond generally. ? thank you.

Yes ofcurse. You can get the ECA done from CES - Comparative Education Services.
The timeline is almost same as WES.
And they will accept the documents if u send it urself. But it has to be issued from university only and need to be in a university's official sealed envelope with authorised stamp & signature on the back flap.
