Hello everyone,

I have a Bachelor in Technology degree of 4 years and I have received ECA for it. I have received points for it as it is my highest level of education.

Now, do I also need to give my schooling certificates as well ? I mean for our High School( 10th ) and Intermediate examinations ( 10 + 2 ) there are different school boards who provides the certificates. I do have certificates from them but they need to be translated. So, do I really need to provide it as a part of PR application as I understand that CIC is mostly interested in my professional degree.

Please advise !!!

thanks,
Anurag

ECA not required for school credentials as you have an ECA for Bachelors.

Thanks Asivad, I understand that I do not need ECA for school credential but do I need to give my schooling information in the application forms ? Do, i need to attach a scanned copy of the schooling certificates even though I am not claiming any points for them ?

The thing is I don't want to give this information about my schooling if it is not needed as this would mean I need to get those documents translated and notarized and I would like to avoid that if possible.

You can leave out school credentials from Education section. Just mention Bachelors.

But they are asking Secondary and Post-secondary education details?

Please Asivad Anac clear this confusion, I am filling post ITA forms!

I do not have my bachelors degree because i did not clear one subject in my final year , in that case will i have to do ECA from WES for my 12th standard certificate?

What is your highest completed educational qualification? If it was obtained outside Canada, you need an ECA to claim points for that.

My highest completed qualification for which i have certificates is my higher secondary education i.e 12th standard education just before college. Now if i have to claim points will i have to send my 12th certificate to wes ? I can claim only 2 points for it. I am the co-applicant my wife is the main applicant and i have already sent her degree to wes for evaluation.

Recommend that you don't get an ECA for this as the 2 points aren't worth the effort. Either leave this educational credential out of your spouse's PR application or upload whatever document you have at your end. In both cases, you wouldn't get those 2 points so it doesn't matter.

Same question- In EE profile, do we need to show the school details? Like class X and XII?

I have already added my B.Com and MBA details and ECA.
