Hi My name is Agnel Xavier I have completed my B.E CSE but i am working as deputy manager in private bank. I have applied for Canada PR through some XYZ consultancy but some of other consultancy were saying you are not eligible for CANADA PR but my consultant were saying you are eligible i dont know which one is true. Please help me

My situation is also same... my education n work exprience are also different... bt I hav read that its not a problem... though u must b able to fulfill ur job duties as written in your NOC code...

You are eligible to apply. As per CIC rules, you need to get your educational credentials assessed and show proof of work experience in company letter head.

However, how case officer who processes your application will treat this difference between your education and field of work is different topic. But there is nothing which makes you ineligible to apply for PR because of your education and work experience being in different domains.

Maybe both posters could search for their individual NOC based on their job duties. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp very little info here to go on for any useful feedback. Plus of course English language capability is a requirement through IELTS. Also check here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp

Consultants are very inconsistent and often only any use to help with forms they have no influence on Canada immigration.

Depends on the period your employer specifies. Usually WP is applied for 6 months to 24 months (2 years). That should give you sufficient experience to gain eligibility for PR unless it criteria changes drastically in coming years.

Yes, you can apply for PR right away. A valid job offer gives you 600 points straight up. It should be sufficient to get you an ITA and from what I have learnt CIC processes PRs with job offer pretty quick.

You can check CRS tool to check your points. Lowest CRS points that got ITA in last round was 482.

Remember there is a minimum score required in IELTS (at least 6 in each category) even if you have a job offer.
