Hi,

I am undergoing certain issues with my career atm-as I am an Interior Designer and I am realizing the markets for the same are very unorganized. I believe I have burnt myself out. Once I land in Canada I wish to enter a new field of work. I have a passion for computers and coding though no formal education for the same at all.

Is it possible for me to
a. Gain an intern type job and learn on field
b. Take a short college course and launch myself in the field [ I have a degree in Commerce as well which is recognized by Canada]
c. Is this field really sustainable in the long run or could I be looking at another short term stunt or deadend? I need now a stead job that has long term sustainable with steady reliable income and growth if I put in diligent work.

For computer programming, you typically need a degree or diploma to launch yourself in the field or to get an intern type job. I would recommend you take a 1-2 year diploma first before you try launching yourself in the field.

Hi!

I'm an IT graduate and I feel the same thing. Is there a Settlement Office in your area for immigrants that can assist you with your career path? I asked because it's what I did. It is funded by the government of Canada to reach out and lend a hand to immigrants esp with employment opportunities.

I do Work from home job as of now, send me a pm and If you are interested.

Hope it helps!
