i think they will give loan to pg diploma.but i am applying for a diploma course.so can anyone please suggest someway to get a loan easily?krishnanrao21 said:

seniors and other experienced members, can anyone suggest some banks that give education loan, with property as collateral???
i will not be able to go to Canada if i dont get an education loan.so plz help plz.

I have asked almost 8 banks regarding education loan.i am from Kerala, India. All banks had 2 main problems
-- each area has a specified bank which gives education loan.other banks cannot provide loans to people residing in that area.
the bank assigned to may area is Syndicate bank.when i talked with the manager he said they do not give loan to diploma courses.

i then asked IOB,andra bank,canara bank,UCO bank.they all said they cannot process my application because they were not my assigned bank.
then i approached Hdfc bank,ICICI bank.both these banks never even called me back.
the banks that asked to submit the application were SBI,SBT and Punjab and Sind bank.They said they will submit my application but cannot guarantee that i will receive the loan.
Can you suggest a bank that will give the loan without much difficulty?

As u said in kerala for each area there is a bank.But every bank branch,say sbi or syndicate or SBT will have 1 branch assigned to your area..It is not necessary that this bank branch is near to the place you stay. And they also have a Head office only for processing the educational loans. I think to get the correct information,go to this head office and speak as they will be providing you the exact information.

I am still doing my last sem of B.Tech degree and my exams end only on May 17th, so now I'm confused when to approach the banks for loans. Should I wait till i get the results and mark sheets on hand(I presume it might take about a month after I finish my exams) or can I apply for loan with my conditional LOA? Guys please help

Better you all visit every banks website. Then you will get the relevant details.
Anyway they will provide the living expense.
As you said, you need not to visit the Head office. Its not practical and a worse idea. Every Bank manager have the authority to pass the loan or not ( for Educational loan) They will definitely pass the loan as you said you are ready to submit the collateral.
In your case, they will not provide loan for Diploma. But if you can talk with the manager may be they can provide. Its Loan Departments decision (Based on the manager interst). You try education loan with your HSE for diploma so there is a chance to get loan.
If you trying with your Diploma for Diploma. its difficult.

this is the case only wid kerala..here the divisions r different..datz d reasn i clearly mentiond kerala..yes evry bank manager has authority but here its like this bank manager wil contact their head n thn it ll go to educational loan branch n dat manager has d ultimate authority..so its nt necessary dat he understands ur situation properly n provide a loan..so i mentiond so
