Have you called CIC to see if they've received your FP?
If yes, how long did it take?

Edmonton has historically been one of the slowest Local Offices across Canada with routine applicants at or around the 25-28 month timeline. A new CJ was hired in 2013 if memory serves me correctly but this doesn't seem to have made a marked change in lengthy timelines. The CJ angle where there is at least one in office, is in my humble opinion a smokescreen the problem is CIC citizenship officer staff capacity/productivity. As a reference point Calgary which has 2 CJs and has been slightly faster than Edmonton (if CJ was slowing issue then it should be operating at almost twice the speed) still has Q4 2012 submitted routine applicants still waiting for a test! As with all things your mileage may vary - good luck to all!

I did my FP just 2 weeks ago, I'm going to call them tomorrow to see if they've received it. What next, I don't know, I just keep fingers crossed that I don't get an RQ.

My advice is to be patience and don't call to ask if they received your fingerprints or not, you are pretty lucky that after 3 months you received a letter from CIC while other applicants are waiting for over 2 years. They wilk reveive your fingerprints, do not worry , just relax and wait until they contact you again.

Edmonton Applicants;

Does any of you know a good place for passport translation in Edmonton based on your experiences to translate Arabic stamps?

Cheers,

My husband did his on the north side, i think it was the shop next to the Mediterrian Pita Bakery on 134 Ave

Too many finger printing requests from Edmonton, is it the norm? Could this be one of the reasons why applications in this office take forever to move?

According to RCMP website, it takes between 2 to 6 weeks if you have a clear background.

I called CIC today, the agent confirmed my file is in Edmonton Office and said the transfer was completed sometime at the end of June or early July; he didn't give me an exact date. Fingerprint was not received yet.

How much time it should take between the transfer and the test presently in Edmonton office! thx.
