Edmonton applicants?

Hey Congrats!!!

Did you get the Oath letter yet. I have heard few of them who gave test around May last week got their Oath ceremony letter.
 
Like most of the Edmonton applicants, my file was transferred (with a line in ecas) on May 21, then disappeared when the new rules got uploaded.

It looks like a long haul here. I may be wrong, but because my file got transferred after 4/1/15, they wont look at my app until after 3/31/16 - meaning clearances will need to be re-done and a possible look at my file for "intent" purposes (or not).

I just hope I don't forget I have an application in waiting by the time I get any type of invitation.

I don't this so the recent release on cic website says -

The first set of provisions that came into force last summer to strengthen Canadian citizenship and speed up application processing times are already paying off. New citizenship applications are being finalized in a year or less, and it is expected that the backlog of older files will have been eliminated by the end of this fiscal year. Individuals who submitted a citizenship application before April 1, 2015 will have a decision by March 31, 2016.

So anything that was submitted before April should have an invitation before March 2016 . Atleast I hope so since my file started being processed may 4.

We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 10, 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 24, 2015.
We started processing your application on March 2, 2015.
We sent you a notice on July 27, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on August 12, 2015 at 8:25 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
