No. Nothing to do with it. Just a registry number. When I check status tracker under Confirmation of Permanent Residency (COPR) (When you’re approved for permanent residence in Canada, you'll get a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. Below are details about this document) details, I see a 9-digit document number starting with a T (such as T123456789).
Is this the same number on the eCOPR and PR card?
Is the number on the back of PR card also on the eCOPR too? On another thread, I was told the COPR document # as shown on Status Tracker is what is on the eCOPR and PR card. I want to apply to renew my usa visitor visa by mid April so I am wondering if I can say I have my PR and PR # is as per what is shown on status tracker.No. Nothing to do with it. Just a registry number.
PR Card will have a number on the front that is the same as the UCI#, and a number on the back that I believe is unique to each physical PR card issued.
Hi. I just checked the back of my PR card for you and it starts with CACANPD and then a bunch of random numbers (not the same on COPR or eCOPR - I believe that one is a "Document number"), then the back also have my UCI no.Is the number on the back of PR card also on the eCOPR too? I've been hearing about the new 60-day goal as well. Surely that's much better than the current 90-day trend.. Hope you get yours soon!JAN 22 2025 P2 here. Outside Quebec, Spousal Inland.
Just got off from the phone with IRCC, they said the standard processing time for P2 -> eCOPR is 60 days. Again, all we can do is wait
Found out the processing VO is Montreal.
Where were you told this? I don't think it is true. Note, COPR and eCOPR can be different in a few ways, most of which minor I think - but I've not seen any COPRs myself. Is the number on the back of PR card also on the eCOPR too? I think it was mentioned (sorry it has been 2-3 weeks since I have seen it) in the PR confirmation portal timelines thread on this website before I decided this family sponsorship class thread would be more relevant to me.Where were you told this? Your PR card # of importance will be your UCI#.
I don't understand your question in that if you got the ECOPR, then you are already a PR. Of course you can apply as a PR.
I would not, however, apply on that basis by claiming that you have a PR card if you've not yet received it.
I'm getting confused - did you get the eCOPR or not?I just spoke to IRCC rep over the phone to make sure things are still on track. He said from what he can see, it is however it is up to the landing office which reviews and does the final processing.
It is the Montreal landing office that is processing our file.
@unforgettableseries which landing office processes or sent the eCOPR & PR card?
The PR card will have the person's UCI and a serial number. Only PR card will have serial number. Can somebody who has received their PR card confirm this?
Rep also emailed me some info which I find still a bit confusing, like a lot of IRCC info on their website, as well as written correspondences from the immigration office/officer outside of Canada which processed our PR application.
Can somebody also confirm what information or id numbers are on the eCOPR. Is the status tracker COPR document number on the eCOPR?
I am wondering when can I renew my usa visitor visa. Would the status tracker document # be sufficient or do I have to wait for eCOPR or PR card?
You are not PR yet until you get the actual eCOPR available for you to download.I think it was mentioned (sorry it has been 2-3 weeks since I have seen it) in the PR confirmation portal timelines thread on this website before I decided this family sponsorship class thread would be more relevant to me.
Sorry for my confusing question. In the status tracker, it says "When you’re approved for permanent residence in Canada, you'll get a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. Below are details about this document." Since there is a document number (T followed by 9 digits) shown right below the above, doesn't it mean that my PR has been approved?
So my questions are 1) Is this document number on the eCOPR? 2) Should I apply to renew my USA visitor visa using this status tracker COPR document number or do I have to wait for the eCOPR and/or PR card? Thus I am trying to find out what kind of information and/or numbers are on the eCOPR and PR card.
Thanks for your reply and sorry for confusing you again.I'm getting confused - did you get the eCOPR or not?
If you didn't get it yet - you're not a PR.
And yes - PR card has UCI on front and # on back which I guess is what the person you spoke to called a serial#.
