Hello,

I had received my eCOPR on August 31, 2021 (I haven't received my PR card yet) but it has an expiry date of February 15, 2022 as my passport was expiring on that date. But now I have renewed my passport.

My question is, I am currently in Canada and I want to travel to India during January and February 2022, but My eCOPR expires in February 2022. If I still do not receive my PR card at that time, I won't be able to enter Canada even if I have PRTD.

How do I get my eCOPR renewed/extended while I am in Canada currently?

What other options do I have? Kindly help

You've already completed landing procedures and submitted the PR card application online, correct?

If so, you are already a PR. You need either the PR card or a PRTD to return to Canada.

I have submitted my In-Canada declaration through Permanent Residence Confirmation Portal and submitted the Photo and my address. Address is accepted by IRCC and Photo is in review with IRCC. I received my eCOPR through this portal.

So if I have submitted in-Canada declaration, I will be able to travel back to Canada with PRTD even if my eCOPR has expired?

Your eCOPR is not valid for travel. It's irrelevant to the whole conversation unless you happen to be traveling to or through the US and plan to re-enter Canada through a US/Canada land border using a private vehicle.

You need either a valid PR card or valid PRTD to be able to board a plane and return to Canada.

So, you are saying that even if the eCOPR is expired, I can travel to Canada by boarding a plane to Canada with only PRTD right? As I have already declared that I was in Canada when I received my eCOPR.
