Ecase status "Received by VISA Office"

Oh i got that in an email too. My 52 weeks is coming up in about a month. Lets see what they say at that point. will keep you updated. Then again my process might be a quick one because the chances of me being rejected is higher than not. Perhaps someone who does qualify comes up to 52 weeks soon.

My case is exactly like yours, my application was transferred from NS to buffalo on June 17 2009, and i still have "Received by Visa Office" status in my application status.. did you hear any reply from them ?!.. pls post if you hear or at least what is the processing time should take, its almost 8 months till now

They sent it back to me, when I asked for any updates with respect to my application.

Why they sent it back, was there anything missing ? and with the application was there any letter which explains why they have returned the application?

I said they sent back the reply and not my application. It was about the status update.

My full application was received by London office on 08-10-2009,and i got AOR on 23rd November 2009.Till then ecas status "Received by visa office".it is 2 months after the 2nd AOR and i dont know why is taking so long?can any one plz share experince.

is it ok if we keep in touch? as like u, i also sent my full docs in Oct, 09 (24 oct, 09), got 2nd AOR in Dec, 09 (14 Dec, 09.), my visa office is london. so, i think, u & me, we r almost same time line. so, if u get any progress in ur side, may be mine will be nearer & vice versa..........

yes off course.we all must be in touch to share our experience and help each other.i dont know why is that taking so long to change e-case status?in my case it is more then 2 months and still it is received by the visa office,normally it takes 2 to 3 weeks to change from recevied to visa office to in process.
any experince plz share

documents requested-23 sept 2009
documents recvd by london office - 03 dec 2009
ecas status changed to recvd by visa office - 26 jan 2010
waiting.....


no to worry guys.. just a time game.. well good to know that it takes 2 to 3 weeks normally for status to change from "recvd by visa office" to "in process".. it would take about 10 days after status changes to "in process" for us to receive medicals
