I have never used ECAS and tried it to see my status.
I keep getting the message below.
Did any of you get this problem too? and how do i fix it?

We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:
Application Processing Times
At this time, you may use this on-line service to view the status of your application ONLY if you have:
sponsored a member of the family class;
applied for permanent residence from within or outside Canada;
applied for a permanent resident card (replacement or renewal);
applied for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship);
applied for Canadian citizenship for a person adopted by a Canadian citizen (on or after January 1, 1947);
applied for a citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship);
applied to renounce Canadian citizenship; or
applied to resume Canadian citizenship.
The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) may help you to access the status of your application through CAS.

What information are you using to login? Usually UCI or application/file number works.
When did you submit the application? If it was fairly recent and have not gotten an AOR yet, your application details may not be available yet for querying status on eCAS.

Hey Julie,

i have the same problem . when ever i tried to login i get same message.
even tho i already submitted my medical 3 months ago .

i called the call center and they don't know how to fix it and suggest me to email Ottawa which i did but they never replied to me .

but the other way u can check ur application status is

call the call center no.

and press 1 than 2 ,than 1 again and they will ask u to enter ur UCI # and DOB .

and you should be able to hear the status .that is the only way for me i can check my status .

and apparently all they say in my case is application received on .

we have the same case.. I'll just leave it like that. i plan on changing the address once i land in canada..(although i'm not sure if that is the right thing to do)..but maybe so long that my mailing address is correct, then communication (via mail) will not be changed..

Any Luck Julie ?

i stopped trying now ...i called the call center many times all they said was its too early for the status update..and i was like its been more than 5 months now .lol

If you have your File Number (from your AOR) and if you have your UCI ready, try first deleting browser history and/or cookies on your browser before trying again.

/hope this helps ...

They are different. See this thread.
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/client-id-and-uci-t65715.0.html

If you have previously applied and issued a visa to Canada, you should have a UCI (check your visa stamp). If this is your first time transacting with CIC, you do not have a UCI yet. If you have received an AOR, the application file number and/or UCI should be indicated in that letter. Either of them (UCI and file number) can be used to check eCAS.
