Hi.. My husband from Quebec just got his approval last Nov. 20 but until now I can't open our ecas.. I've tried several times & making sure that the details are right but still not working..
How long does it take for us to check ecas once Sponsor is approved? Thank you.

Hey!

congratulations on getting through to the first stage! it can take anywhere from 2 days to 10 days, so give it a little time and try again at the end of the week maybe. Just also make sure that you use the correct combination of information... either UCI + Sponsor name, or file number (starting with F) + applicant name (also - ONLY family name, no first name, initial etc).
Don't worry - if you have the sponsorship approval, ecas will not show much more than just a line saying "decision made" on the sponsorship part, and probably "application received" on the other side (application part).

Funny thing is, I still check Ecas even though the whole process in complete. Its as if I don't believe it is actually complete.

It's withdrawal symptoms. I'll have to ease myself off my eCAS addiction once my application is completed.

... and it will take years for us to stop 'posting' here . . . I refuse to check ecas EVERY DAY and yet interestingly we went 'In Process' with no PPR in sight (not visa-exempt)!

I can now check my ecas.. Thanks to you Sweden.. I'm so glad that there's a forum like this & a kind people like you to answer our questions because this application is so frustrating.. Thanks again..
