This is a thread for ECAS updates for federal stage of Quebec applicants. I have read other threads on this forum about ECAS status and I find them really informative and useful when it comes to interpreting the actual stage of our federal path.

Please stick to the pattern and join the club.

Country of residence: Tunisia

ECAS status : in process since May 3, 2016

ECAS status timeline

1.We received your application for permanent residence on March 29, 2016.
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on May 3, 2016.

Can you fill out the form? Follow my example, please.

I am not sure that my processing office is Paris, because my Line 2 says that they have already started the processing. It can be Canada.

Country ....
Application status ....
Time line ....

Provide details about documents requested. By the way, you can quote the whole email text here for us to see exactly what they ask. Was it with the medical request?

As far as the medicals it depends. Sometimes they update them late. Why don't you raise a query by asking them?

How do you know that you are with Roma visa office if you do not have the line about processing? By the way I am not sure that I am with Paris??? Cause my application status is IN PROCESS and my Line 3 is about processing. It might be that Canada will handle my file. Not Paris.

It is an office that WILL STAMP A VISA IN YOUR PASSPORT ONLY. It is not a processing center. My VISA OFFICE is Tunis and it is mentioned on the CSQ. But the PROCESSING OFFICE for Tunisia is Paris.

AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW

From January 2016, Sydney CIO can send your file to whatever processing center even the one that is far away from you country. It all depends on the load of work distributed. So you never know.

On the official site of IRCC
Here is the text
Why did processing times information change?

Prior to December 31, 2015, processing times for many of our services were displayed by visa office. This was useful when applications for permanent or temporary residence were always processed by the nearest visa office. However, we now have the ability to move applications around our global network to ensure they are processed as efficiently as possible. This means your application may not be processed at the office closest to where you live.

For many services, instead of asking about your nearest visa office, you are now asked for your country of residence. This provides you with a more accurate processing time. For other services, you may see a single processing time, no matter where you live. This is our commitment to process applications within that time. These processing times are updated on a weekly basis.

In addition, we redesigned the layout to be mobile friendly so that you can get the information you need anytime, on any device.
