aanbaan,
It's Manila, Philippines.
aspire,
The first paragraph is the same as what swaps82 mentioned above but before that they will mention the exact date when they received your application. Next to that is:
Processing Time
Applications for permanent residence in Canada in the category that you have applied to require on average 12 months to process at this office. If you have not received any instructions from this office within 45 days from the date of this letter, you are requested to contact this office directly.
Interview
You will be notified of the appointment for your interview, if required, prior to the date of the interview, and you will be provided with further instructions at that time. (After this they state Section 15 and 16 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act).
Interpreters
Interpreters must be arranged in advance....and so on and so forth.
Other reminders do not apply, example: for those who do not reside in the area of responsibility of the visa office.
Next comes the reminders about notifying them in case there are changes in your personal circumstances....
Prepare Yourself For Immigration to Canada (these are reminders that are almost the same as the reminders in the 1st AOR: gather information on Canada, research on potential employment, Going to Canada internet site, etc.)
That's all actually. I hope this helps...
