ECAS Question

Quick question, I can't find an answer on other threads…

For ECAS log-in, we have been tracking my application progress (SA) with my husband's log-in and UCI number. HE has been approved as a sponsor and now my portion is being sent to Ottowa (outland). Do I now have to use my info to log-in to see status changes? Or is it still accessible from his account?

Hi there!

His UCI that you use to log in will ONLY show info for the Sponsorship. If you just got approved, then you will need to sit tight and wait for an e-mail or letter from the CIC address to you, the applicant. You will have a different UCI number to log in with. They are 2 separate applications.

Wrong. The sponsors UCI works for checking ur application process too. I don't know if you have actually logged in yet, but you can clearly see the names of both of you. Just click on ur name..

This is not true. With the sponsor's UCI and details, you can see both.

Since you you got SA approval, you can log in with the sponsor's details and it will look like this:

Sponsored person Sponsorship application status Permanent residence application status

Name Decision Made Application received


If you click on Decision Made, you can see the sponsor's part and on Application received, the sponsored person.


If you want to see just the Permanent Residence application status, then you can log in with the applicant's info. The UCIs are not the same for both the sponsor and applicant, so in case you don't know the applicant's UCI you can use the Application file number (starts with F000) and the applicant's details.

Once you order GCMS notes or receive a letter from CIC addressed to the applicant, you will find out the applicant's UCI as well.

UCI is used to log in with sponsor info and it has both sponsorship and PR application info
application ID is used to log in with applicant info and it only has PR application info
The PR application info part for both logins are the same
