Hi. I just got the WES ECA report, and it has two issues to be resolved.

It looks almost exactly like this.

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Bachelor's degree (four years)

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

1. Name on Credential: ooo

Credential Authentication: Documents were sent directly by the institution
Country: oo
Credential: Bachelor's Degree (double major)
Year: 2012
Awarded By: aa University
Status: Recognized Institution
Major/Specialization: English Language and Literature and Business Administration
Canadian Equivalency: Bachelor's degree (four years)

And here are my questions.

(1) My IRCC status:

I haven't submitted my application for visa yet, just created an EE profile. Will IRCC receive my ECA report and update it in the system?

(2) Number of degrees:

My report looks like I have one degree. Is this also how they view it? I'm attempting to apply for "two or more degrees" category for my education for CIC. What I got from my university was two separate degrees. My certificate of graduation, which I previously had delivered to your office for the evaluation, it says two different bachelor's degrees.

I've seen a lot of similar questions here posted by people in similar situations like mine. Please reply if you've experienced or know of such matter.

Thanks!

I think they have evaluated your degree as one degree only. I doubt you can use it as 2 or more degrees. Try contacting WES and see if they will change the evaluation based on two separate degrees.

When you say double major, how many years long was that degree course?

Then it can be two or more.
But my WES report says that they view them as just one degree. I asked them how so, and they said they cannot advise an equivalency of two degrees for me because I don’t have enough credits. They did not provide the criteria/standard for ‘not enough’.

But then again, I’ve seen someone who has less credits than I do and they did a double major course just like mine, have received a report that says two degrees. Same double major programs, and I got more credits, but she gets to be acknowledged of two degrees and I don’t?

It seems unfair.

Of course I replied to their response (them saying that my credits are not enough) citing the person’s case that they have less credits but got two degrees, but I doubt they’re gonna simply change my report upon reading my reply.

Anyone have similar problems?

What are your educational credentials?
I have two Bachelor's degrees from one four-year university. One is English and the other is Business. However WES viewed my degrees as just one saying that it's only one degree because there aren't enough credits. But again as I said I've seen someone who got two degrees assessed by WES and they did less credits than I did. That's what I'm curious of and what I'm asking them about.

Hi. how is your WES result going? Does the WES accept your request? Do you get a changed result?
I faced same problem...
