Hi All, I have a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from USA and Bachelors Degree from India. I am planning to apply for ECA via WES. Would I need to get only my highest degree evaluated which is Master's degree from USA or both Master's and Bachelor's degree. I am hoping to see if I could skip the tedious process of obtaining the transcripts from India and just send my Master's degree transcripts to WES.

Secondly, My wife is a physician and primary applicant to our application. To obtain ECA for her, it is required to obtain her medical diploma ECA report via Medical Council of Canada which would cost $600. WES can also produce ECA reports for medical diploma $200 but I am not sure if they will be acceptable by CIC Immigration.

Please let me know if anyone has any experience and has a similar case. Thanks.

Arjun

For physician who is primary applicant, wes won't work, mcc is the only option

Even if the applying physician does not intend to work in canada, would we still need to get ECA from MCC. Is it an option to get ECA from WES for immigration purpose and later if my wife intends to work, she can approach MCC for getting ECA report?

You only need ECA from MCC when you claim extra point ,, as it is a proffesional degree.

But if you just want to claim as a bachelor degree, WES would suffice the requirement.

Just get the masters validated. You'll get max points with that, no need to mention your Bachelors. My wife and I did exactly this.

Sorry, I know about lawyers, not doctors :)

It does not matter that your wife intends to wirk in canada or not. If you are claiming points gir her education then you need ECA for her education. About MCC or WES, stick to the requirement as mentioned on CIC website
