Hi guys,

I am an Indian applying for Express Entry. This is a question regarding ECA requirements. I have a PhD from Netherlands, an M.Sc from Germany and a Bachelors from India. Asking the following question as the granting institutions are from three different countries, and the M.Sc. certificate is typed in German language.
  1. While applying for an ECA do I need to get my M.Sc and Bacherlors certificates verified separately via ECA or will it be enough to get my PhD certificate verified (and submit untranslated my M.Sc. (certificate typed in German language) and Bachelors as supporting documents?
  2. Any preferred agency for doing the ECA from the following: Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies, International Credential Assessment Service of Canada, World Education Services, International Qualifications Assessment Service, International Credential Evaluation Service ?
Thanks in advance on the advise.

Go with WES. Reasons: All the educational institutes globally (most of them) know about it: it works for both US and Canada, just in case:processing is fast: most reliable.

While you apply for an ECA, you need to send all of your degrees and transcripts to WES, irrespective of their levels.

My wife got her M.Phil evaluated, so she was asked to send her MSc and BSc documents as well. Also, all the documents should be translated into English. ALSO, they have to be sent from the respective colleges and universities directly to the agency.

The english version won't be only required for the evaluation but IRCC also demands the same. PR applications get rejected because people ignore to translate their degrees to English.

Also keep in mind that WES's requirements vary country to country. For myself, I have similar situation. I will receive my PhD from Iran but my undergrad degree is from Pakistan. I had impression that one should get ECA for the highest degree (or the degree for which one is claiming the points). I my case it will be PhD and thus I will only focus on getting ECA for it and follow WES requirement for Iran.
