ECA Question

Hi Omsaiom,

I might not be able to give you exact names at the moment from Forum, but yeah I confirmed the same before submitting my application, I hold Masters in Computer Application(MCA).
I called up CIC, and the CIC agent confirmed that ECA is required for your highest degree.

As far as Immigration Consultants are concerned if you would believe I have interacted with 3 agents, 2 in Delhi and 1 in Punjab, they are of now use if you can read this useful forum. I can proudly say now that I know better than them.
Who would know you better than you, So calm down, don't get stressed listening to agents and friends of friends of friends thing.

Religiously Follow this forum. Thats what I have been doing from past 1.5 years.

I cannot do that because i have not come across any real life situation like you asked. But what i am saying is by logic.

Also while some people quoted CIC/WES website that "ECA Evaluation of highest degree only is required." While it is generally true but that only the partial story (not 100%).

One generally gets his/her highest degree evaluated and if that someone's masters is evaluated as masters then that it's great, but if it is not so and degraded by one level to say...one year PG diploma or Bachelors and that person has another degree/diploma (of at least 3 years), it is to their benefit that they get that evaluated too, so that they can enhance their CRS Score by choosing the option of "Two or more degrees/diploma....etc"

My application was rejected saying my ECA has expired. I got my ECA in May 2013 and that should be valid for 5 years but they sited the reason on the letter that its only valid for 2 years. Also the strangest thing that happened was that on the second page of the rejection letter they says that ECA validity is 5 years. I called the helpline and they confirm the validity of 5 years on my ECA and recommended for me to raise a case specific inquiry to the Sydney office. Has anyone encountered such problem and if so does Sydney office reply (its been 10 days for me)?

Sorry hear about case...
But I think CIC goofed up between ECA & TRF (IELTS) in your case...raise a CSE immediately and get the case reopened.

I was told by the help center to do the same. I checked through the cic website but couldn't find specific link to raise a CSE. I ended up raising an enquiry to Sydney office by filling out an online form. I dont know if that is good enough or there is specific way to enquire? I am so very frustrated since this is my second rejection due to incomplete documents - first time they rejected due to missing Indian PCC (my mistake I didnt think of this since I've been living in the UK for past 9 years).
Please let me know if you are aware of specific link to raise a CSE?

Don't forget to include a scan of your ECA report in the 'education documents' along with degree scans.
