I got my ECA done thru IQAS today. I have 3 yrs bachelors and 2 yrs masters from SMU. They recognized as 4 yrs Bachelors and 1 yr Masters, any idea why they did so? Will I get points for Masters degree?

Congratulations
You the the only other person I know who got the positive assessment done. However the equivalent is only one year of master degree.
Good news is that the master degree is not time defined like the bachelor degree (3 years) ... You will get points for master degree according to my experiences.
Please raise a CSE (case specific enquiry) for this and do post the good news as the cic replies with a positive yes.

I got my ECA from ICAS 2 yrs back and it states equivalent to 2 yrs masters degree in Canada. It took them around 6 months to do this.

Same here bro. I got the ECA from icas, and now have PR. Took me 7 month to get the ECA.
Current time taken by ICAS is 20 weeks.
IQAS it's 8 weeks.They mention 2 year masters as one year masters but this will yeild points.
WES still refuses, to someone on email on Jan 4 2018. Whereas one guy got the ECA stating Sikkim maipal degree to be degree from unrecognized institute. But was mentioned in the report as master degree, this will not yeild points though.

You have to send an email to the university requesting to send your transcripts to ICAS. They will charge some money for that and DHL. You might have to call them few times to check on the status. They usually take 15-20 days to send the transcripts.
