I am seeking for help.
I am from India and studied B.A (Honours) in Digital Media from an Institution. My institution had a validation from University in UK. It is not really a college so there is no registrar for the institution. I have done a 1 year post graduation program in Ontario and currently working in Canada and planning to apply for PR under experience class in a few months. For which I had to take ECA for my Bachelor's degree to get certain some points for my PR application. I made an application to WES for ECA report. And requested my university to courier the transcripts to WES Canada, which they did. But unfortunately, WES could not evaluate my degree credentials and replied saying they do not evaluate Validated degrees from University.
I have gone through CIC website and found out there are other 5 designated firms who could help me get through the evaluation.
Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
World Education Services
International Qualifications Assessment Service
International Credential Evaluation Service
Out of these 5, 2 of them have refused to do it and I am left with 3 other firms. I have spoken to my institution regarding this and they found out that one of the previous students of the institution have got his evaluation done through IQAS (International Qualifications Assessment Service), Alberta. This person just gave me some hope in this situation.
Now, my question is, I work in Ontario and the evaluation company is in Alberta. Would CIC accept the evaluation report if I get it from Alberta firm. I am planning to do my PR application in Ontario. I would really need an advice on this.
