ECA for secondary school certificate

Hi guys,

I got my ECA done through WES. My wife has completed her secondary diploma (high school graduation). I assume this is the same as standard 12th.

My questions
1. Should I get her ECA also done?
2. Can I submit the EE profile & then update my wife's details after I get her ECA done? Or should I wait to get her results & only then submit the EE profile?

Secondary diploma is 10 standard. Higher secondary is 12th standard.

If points could be claimed you need to get an ECA. Higher Secondary School Certificate issued in a sealed envelope by the board issuing that certificate needs to be submitted to agency that does ECA. Check which agency does ECA for higher secondary (post secondary) qualification.

1. Only if you would like to claim points based on spouse's ECA.

For spouse's 12th (Secondary School) you just get 2 points. May not be worth the money spent unless you are around 398 and want to go for OINP or around 448 and want a direct ITA.

As per my calculation I will be around 444 with my Spouse's language tests & academic credentials. Not looking good. Regarding OINP, I have no control over that. Ontario nominates whoever it wants to based on their criterion. I want to squeeze every last point out of the system & dont want to leave anything to chance.

Regarding the ECA for secondary school (12th) does anyone know what I have to submit to WES for validation. I am in Bangalore & my souse has done her PU . I dont see anything on the PU board website stating transcipt/certificate or anything.

I am thinking of taking a copy of the PU marks card. Getting it attesting & having them seal it in an envelope along with the WES form & couriering it over. Do you think this is enough?.

Yes, attested and inside an envelope sealed by issuing board.

I would like to know, if you got the ECA report for your spouse's 10+2 (Higher Secondary Education)?? Please let me know which agency assess the the secondary education and what is the process. My current CRS is 440 however, with my Spouse's education points, I will be at 442 (which is quite safe, as per the current cut off). Please advise!
