ECA for distance education can be considered ?

Hi friends... One of my friend has MCA degree which was done through distance education and completed on 2014. His bachelors degree was awarded in the year 2008. He has full time work experience from 2008 to till date (More than 7 years). Which degree can be applied for ECA ? Which is better ? If he applies with MCA, is there chance that his experience to be considered ? (Means from 2008`2014). Or applying ECA with bacelors degree would be better choice ? Or work experience of 7 years and master's degreee both can be considered for express entry ?

Can anyone suggest ?

Work experience does not have anything to do with ECA.
And yes distance education is acceptable. I think it's better to just get both degrees done

Yeah... I could do ECA for both degrees. But when I apply for express entry, applying with masters degree which was completed recently (2014) will not affect my work experience consideration ?

I have been in the same situation, i did my MSc on distance learning.

You dont have any problem with the ECA.

The only thing is that you have to indicate in the CIC application that the program was done part time, so as not to confuse CIC between the employment and the education because they go in paralel
