Hi Vinzy,

I got my transcripts from JNTUH in an envelope which has a printed sign on the back flap, but there is no seal on it. Does this suffice for WES evaluation ? Moreover, I could see in the WES website that either Provisional Certificate or Original Degree should be sufficient for WES evaluation, you mentioned that u submitted OD along with the transcripts, so is it mandatory to submit OD for WES evaluation ?

Hello,

I'm a B.tech from an clg affiliated JNTU-H passed out in 2011. My package reached WES on 29th Sep and evaluation was completed on 8th Oct, here are the Docs i had in package.

1. Original Degree Certificate which was first attested by my college principal and later attested by JNTU registrar (Note: JNTU wont provide transcript for Original Degree Cert and the registrar wont attest your copy if your college principal has'nt done it.
2. Transcripts of my Provisional and Consolidated cretificates
3. Trascripts of each semesters including Supply, if any.

(Optional)

4. Printout for my Pay advise on WES website ( this has the reference number of r your online application. If you are not including this sheet, make sure to write your ref # on the envelope you send out to WES )


There is a xerox shop out side the canteen which sells transcripts request form, fill the form and calculate the amount and pay the respective challan in Andhra Bank at the entrance of the campus. Make sure to go to counter # 2 in the exam cell ( #1 would give you only trascripts, for registrar attestation go to #2) and you can expect them to complete it in 1-2 days (if its not too crowded, they give it the same day)

Dear star members faheem224 and Vinzy,

Thank you for all your advice and a clear description on the procedure to get the ECA done. This foolish mind still has some questions simply to make sure the envelope is complete and sealed.

Vinzy mentioned about getting a copy of the OD attested from the college and then the JNTU registrar, however Faheem made no such mention about getting the copy attested from the college/University.

Firstly, my concern is that I may have lost my OD. But, I do have my provisional certificate, and perhaps can get a few more copies from JNTU. Can I simply get a provisional certificate from JNTU and include it in the envelope instead of the OD or its attested copy? Have you heard of any applicants that may have done this and had no issues with WES?

I have posed the same question to WES. Yet to hear back. Will update this post once I hear back.

Frolic, glad you asked. Its better to clarify then assume, especially with CIC and related stuff because one such error can land you up in a missed intake deadline.

I'm really unable to confirm that an attested copy of OD is mandatory, however, I can confirm for sure that it certainly speeds up the process. One of our members on this thread "Nagavo" had previously applied without an attested OD copy and had waited awkwardly long before he decided to re-apply with a copy of attested OD which was then processed in about three weeks. In my case, it was processed in two weeks and since i selected govt. post it tooks about two more weeks to arrive. So, I strongly recommend to have the attached copy of OD in your package.

I understand you have lost the original, any chance you have copies. If yes, get it attested from the principal of you engg. college and then go to JNTUH counter # 2 in examination building for registrar attestation.

Thanks again. JNTU provides only duplicate Degrees once the Original has been handed over. I will have to get the duplicate degree from them first, go to my college for a stamp and then return to JNTU for another.

I hope to find my Original degree itself. In case I don't, I'll do as mentioned above. Although I have submitted the same query to WES, as per the forum comments, its very unlikely that I'll hear back from them anytime soon. Will update the post if I do.

Im unsure how things work when the OD certificate is lost. I know for sure that there is no Transcript for the OD itself, hence the whole story of multiple attestations.
Yes for sure, if you manage to find your apparently lost OD, a lot of things for you will fall back in place.

All WES looks for is some copy of a permanent (not provisional) certificate which will prove that you have successfully completed the said course, which in most cases is satisfied by the OD certificate. Thanks.

I have done my B.Tech from an institute which is affiliated to JNTU, what option should I select for Institution Type:? in WES website.
I personally went to JNTU and applied for all transcripts and received in stamped envelope but I did not apply for Convocation transcript.

Vinzy, you said we should also send orignal degree (convocation) along with the transcripts , but in WES website they have mentioned not to send original certificates. Suppose if I send it how can I get it back. Can you also please let me know should I also send 10th and 12th photocopies along with my transcripts.

DO NOT - NEVER EVER send the original degree...I just said send a copy of your OD.

Hello, Yes. You need to get a copy of your OD attested by the college principal and which should further be attested by the registrar of JNTU.

I'd suggest have a friend or a relative do it on your behalf, its better to be safe then late. Get the OD attested by ur college principal and later by registrar of JNTU. Good luck !

Thank you very much for your great time and guidance to us.

I have a query, I went to JNTU-H today for transcripts. I came to know JNTU-H giving Transcripts
1. in different envelops( memos in one envelop, and provisional in one envelope, etc in envelope )
2. and the envelops are not sealed/( not closed envelop) as mentioned in wes.org kindly refer @wes.org/required/WES_Sealed_Envelope.png.

I was confused , kindly suggest me how to get all transcripts in a single sealed envelop? do I manually place all of them in single envelop and request JNTU-H staff for seal on it? TIA .
