Hi,

I'am planing to migrate to canada with my wife and son.I have decided to apply for skil level B Drafting technologist & technician NOC 2011-2253. I'am ready with my IELTS score L 8.5, R7.5, W 7.5, S 7.
My wife has booked for the test this month end. Her NOc is technical writer NOC 2011-5121.

I have completed diploma in tool& Die making and has got more than 8 years of experience as draftsman and my wife has completed diploma in aeronautical and has got more than 8 years of experience.
To do the ECA assessement, Is it ok to to get the assessment of our diploma certificates only? Or do we need to get our secondary certificate as well?
Can someone help us to calculate our CRS score to know the eligibiliy?

Thanks in advance
Ray..

Hi Ray

Get the ECA on your highest education certification. So if Diploma is the highest award you hold then that is what you want to get assessed on as that is where you will get the most points.
You do not need to get your secondary education assessed as this is superseded by your diploma.
In terms of CRS calculation there is a few calculators online that will give you a rough idea.

No prob

Doing higher studies wont be a problem. My advice is if your planning to do higher studies now/soon it would make sense waiting and getting an ECA on both your diploma and higher study as you will get more points and it should cost the same as just getting your diploma assessed.
